PATTI BALLINAS

Drums

Patti Ballinas, half Scottish and half Mexican, started playing drums at the age of eight. She and her sisters Carol & Ivonne founded the band “Angels’ Delight”. While touring the Scotland, they also appeared on national television. After moving to Mallorca, Spain, the band performed under the name “Aqua Vitae”. Later they formed the band “The Motown Sisters” and became the opening act of James Brown on Mallorca in 1998.

Soon, Patti became a very well demanded session drummer. She was the first drummer from Spain representing Yamaha Drums worldwide. Along with Akira Jimbo and Wolfgang Haffner, Patti gave solo demonstrations for electronic and acoustic Yamaha drums in Spain, Portugal, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Ukraine, Jordan and Japan.

In her successful career, Patti recorded and performed with many famous artists and bands like Dave Weckl, Buika, Chenoa, Molly Duncan (Average White Band), The Barry White Experience, Jeffrey Daniel, Victor Wooten, Steve Bailey and many more. Her talent made her travelling all over the world, playing many famous festivals and shows, such as the Asian Beat Competition with Nathan East in Taiwan in 2008.
