Une’s (you-nay) musical talent began in the Jeffrey Projects in Detroit, MI. Encouraged by his mother to use his God given talent, Une along with his brothers and close friends performed at various venues in Detroit. After years of living in the mid-west area, Une decided to move to the LA area and further his career as an independent artist. He teamed up with Ernest Thomas and Carmela C. Martin to form Unet Music & Entertainment, where he completed his CD “UNE”, which was produced by Sterling G. and co-produced by Carmela C. Martin. Recently, Uné formed UneMusic to further develop himself as an independent artist.

Une states: “My goal is to make music that touches the very soul of a person and to take them on a journey with me on the byways of love or the passages of hurt. I want my music to be a spiritual ride we (the listener) both could share in.” The soul of his music stems from bittersweet realities of love, life and the hurt and joy that it can bring. His lyrics are tangible and real. As he sings about life’s journeys, you know that he has experienced a myriad of peaks and valleys.

Une’s style is reminiscent of Marvin Gaye & Luther Vandross but evokes the neo-soul vibe of John Legend & Anthony Hamilton. He has played his music at various venues in the U.S. and abroad in England and accompanied artists such as Jessy J and Eric Darius.
